St. Louis Valve & Fixture Replacement Experts for 40+ Years
Modern faucets wash everything from hands, dishes, and food to small pets—and they do it with style and ease. Beyond color, finish and price there are several options to consider when looking for a replacement:
Side Spray. A separate, retractable spray hose.
Pull out/Pull down. These features combine faucet and hose into one fixture for versatile cleaning positions, one-button spray or stream (in many cases), and easy spout rotation.
Pre-rinse. An arced, pull out, high-pressure spray nozzle, common in commercial kitchens.
Touchless (or Light Touch). Motion sensor on/off makes this option both practical and sanitary.
Positioning. Some faucets are meant to mount on the sink itself while others are designed to mount on the countertop or even the wall. If you plan to keep an existing sink, bear in mind not all faucet fixtures are compatible.
Number of handles. One or two depending on your needs and preference. If you plan to keep your existing sink, be sure to take into consideration the placement of holes required by handles and side spray hoses.
Additional Features. Consider stream angle and arc height to allow for large items (but beware of overhanging cabinetry). There are also plumbing fixtures designed to protect against leaks, reduce water waste, resist mineral build up, and keep countertops free of obstacles.
